College Spanish Class Gains Language Skills on Theater Trip Students in Valhalla High School’s College Spanish class traveled to New York City to expand their language skills and cultural knowledge in an authentic setting that helped them with their fluency. Sixth-Grader Wins Frisbee Design Contest After receiving the most votes from his Ultimate Frisbee teammates, Valhalla Middle School’s Osvaldo Aguilar won the club’s first-ever Frisbee design contest. Second-Graders Raise Record Funds for American Heart Association For the second year in a row, Virginia Road School's second-grade students smashed their fundraising record in January. They participated, once again, in the Kids Heart Challenge, which encourages donations for the American Heart Association. KS Students Learn Culture Through Chinese Dance Students giggled and gasped as a yellow and red dragon walked toward them and into the audience. It danced from one side of the gymnasium to the other, sometimes trotting over to interact with some children in the crowd. They erupted in cheers and laughter.
